Special Kookies

Ingredients

6 cups Special-K
1 (12 oz.) bag butterscotch chips
1 cup peanut butter
½ cup chopped peanuts

Directions

In a double broiler melt both the peanut butter and butterscotch stirring until all melted and a smooth consistency.
While still hot stir in the nuts; then fold into the Special K.
Spoon the mixture out on to parchment covered cookie sheets, or like it did use an open ended ice cream scoop and drop on the sheet.
Let sit for about 2 hours or more until hardened enough to pick up with your hands. Place in the fridge to cool off if you would like to eat some a little sooner.

Serv: 32ish

My mom makes these every year, though her recipe doesn't include the nuts. Enjoy this easy recipe that you can rationalize as being sort of healthy. ^_~

Friday marks the beginning of July, as well as the halfway point through the year. I was thinking to myself the other day, "This year has gone by pretty fast". It feels like only yesterday that I met my wife, and then got married. It's pretty crazy!! So, in thinking that time goes by so fast I came up with the perfect idea for friends and fans of Sir Brian Photography to get their photo's and some memories of them taken and preserved.

Banana Orange Smoothies

Ingredients 1 ½ cups Honey Flavored Yogurt ½ cup Mango Juice ¼ cup Wheat Germ ½ tsp. Vanilla 1 Large ripe Banana, peeled and sliced 1 Orange, peeled and parted ¼ tsp. Ground Cinnamon	Directions Place all ingredients in blender container. Cover and blend on high speed 1 minute or until smooth. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with additional Wheat Germ, and Cinnamon.

This recipe originally came from the side of "Bob's Red Mill Natural Raw Wheat Germ
", I made a few adjustments and thought it tasted wonderfully. I also added an apple that I had in the fridge that I didn't think was going to be eaten any time soon and thought it would make a welcome addition

I figured I would try something new today and post what I made for breakfast along with a nice picture of it. I've been following lots of food blogs and have been wanting to experiment with taking pictures of food so I thought this might make a first step.

Open source continues to make more and more strides, open source hardware, software, design. Firefox, Android OS/Phone, Linux, OS-X (Only the base of the OS, not the UI), Apache (largest web server in use), mySQL, PhP, Elephants Dream, Big Buck Bunny. By the looks of it almost everything has made a dip in open source. What about cameras though?
